Early Start & HRC Evaluations (Infants & Toddlers): Specialized testing (Service Code 056) to determine regional center eligibility and secure early intervention services.
School-Aged & Adolescent Diagnostics: Comprehensive testing to help families secure school accommodations (IEPs/504 plans), insurance coverage, and private therapies.
Adult Autism Evaluations: Respectful, neurodiversity-affirming assessments for adults seeking self-understanding, workplace accommodations, or regional center support.
Family-Centered & Individual Feedback: Clear, actionable explanation of results to help you navigate the next steps, access resources, and build a supportive roadmap.
Two Easy Ways to Start Your Evaluation
Path 1: Via Harbor Regional Center Referral
Speak to Your HRC Coordinator: Request that your Service Coordinator send a referral packet to Better Psych Services.
We Schedule the Session: Once we receive the HRC authorization, our intake coordinator will call you to schedule.
Report Sent to HRC: Following the evaluation, we submit our report directly to HRC to help secure or maintain regional center services.
Path 2: Direct Referral (Private Pay / Insurance / School)

Consultation & Insurance Check: We will hold a 15- to 20-minute consultation to discuss your specific needs, verify your insurance benefits, or provide a private-pay quote.
Schedule & Evaluation: We schedule the evaluation session based on our current availability. You or your family will receive a comprehensive diagnostic report to use for medical, educational, workplace, or therapeutic needs.
